Hero Games
All games: beginner, rules taught, characters provided, 6-7 players max.
- "Ace Cobalt vs. the Evil Star Tyrant Of Venus"
- Rules: Star Hero
From a hidden lunar base, a Mysterious Ray Gun (MRG) is draining off Earth's power sources. Can Ace Cobalt and his plucky crew stop the device in time? And where will the trail lead from there? The year is 2008... but 2008 as envisioned in the pulp sci-fi stories of the 1920s and 30s. Strap on your jet pack, fasten your fish-bowl helmet, and blast off for high adventure... in... SPAAAAAACE!
Keywords: Sci-Fi, Pulp, Humor.
- "My Metaprodigy Saved Your Honor Student"
- Rules: PS238 RPG (Champions)
Class is in session at the world's first school for Metaprodigies (ie – kids with superpowers). A "normal" day at PS238 is challenging enough: learning to control your powers, dealing with playground bullies (without revealing your secret identity!), field trips to the moon, and Zodon's latest attempt to take over the school. But today is shaping up to be anything but normal. Based on Aaron William's comic series.
Keywords: Kids + Superpowers = Hijinks.
- "Tau Draconis – Reconnaissance"
- Rules: Star Hero
The Tau Draconis colony has been invaded by an unknown alien force, and The Brass is sending an elite commando team to scout out the situation. All you have to do is get shot from orbit onto an enemy-held planet, evade an alien army armed with unknown technology, infiltrate their headquarters, learn their plans, and report back before the fleet arrives. Hey, if it was easy they'd send anyone!
Keywords: Sci-Fi, Military, Adventure.
- "Friends 1934: The One With The Ninjas/Nazis/Dinosaurs"
- Rules: Pulp Hero
Description: Yes, those Friends. (Sorta.) In Depression-era New York, six twenty-somethings join forces to defend their speakeasy, their city, and the world against the forces of evil, tyranny, and bad puns.
Keywords: Friends, Pulp, Humor.
- "As the Superworld Turns"
- Rules: Champions
The superhero soap opera "To Save The World" is one of the most popular shows on television. But someone is after the show's stars, and they're not looking for autographs! A desperate network recruits some real superheroes to go undercover on the show and flush out the villain(s). Can you navigate the minefield of celebrity egos, solve the mystery, defeat the Bad Guys, and still be ready for your close-up?
Keywords: Mystery, Comedy, Spandex.
- "The Ashes of Denver"
- Rules: Post-Apocalyptic Hero
Five years ago, a mysterious alien probe released a virus that altered human DNA. "Bio-forming" the news called it. Within three years, nearly a fourth of the human population had been…changed. Most of the rest either died when their bodies rejected the virus, or were driven mad by it. Barely 1% of the populace retained their humanity. Now they pick through the ruins of their once-great civilization, looking for food, shelter, and the means to stay alive just a little longer. But on the outskirts of Denver, one group of survivors is about to discover the last thing they expected: Hope.
Keywords: Post-Apoc, Scavenging, Character-driven roleplaying.
- "Revenge of the Henchminions"
- Rules: Champions
A number of supervillain henchmen (you know: the low-powered red shirts the villain uses to slow down the superheroes while he escapes out the back?) are hanging out in a bar that caters to their crowd – minding their own business and complaining about their lousy dental coverage – when a superhero team bursts in to try and arrest one of their number. A grand melee ensues! Players each run 4-6 henchmen and try to take down the superheroes.
Keywords: Spandex, Combat, Mooks' Revenge.
Other RPG: Characters provided.
