Unloading

The move-in day and times designated to D3:

• Tues, August 5, 2008 9:00 AM - 3:30 PM
• Wed, August 6, 2008 By arrangement with Denvention Exhibits Management

Dealers wishing to load in on Wednesday should arrange this with Sally or Larry at dealers@denvention.org. Artists need to confirm their arrangements with artshow@denvention.org.. All others should contact exhibits@denvention.org.

Please note the following:

• There will be no unloading of dealer or artist vehicles on Monday, August 4, or before 9am on either Tuesday or Wednesday.
• We will not accept loads from personal vehicles without prior arrangements with the Dealers' Room, Art Show, or (for all other deliveries) the Exhibits Division.

The Colorado Convention Center address is 700 14th Street, Denver, 80202. The front of the CCC (look for the big blue bear) faces 14th Street, which is a one-way street. There is no street parking of any kind there.

For load-in, Denvention 3 will utilize the CHAMPA entrance which is located directly across from the 60 foot white dancer statue just before the corner of Champa and SPEER. Champa is a ONE-WAY SOUTHBOUND street. You will be turning left from Champa into the covered freight entrance.

At this point, you will encounter a guard shack operated by Elite's union personnel. From here you will be checked in and directed up the ramp to the dock at Hall D. This one-way ramp is often utilized by Semi-Trucks going to docks at several other halls and events. Your move-in process can take 30 minutes or considerably longer depending on the line in front of you. It is a one lane entrance, and vehicles are passed on a first come first served basis.

Parking

There is no parking available on the loading docks.

Paid parking is available in the Colorado Convention Center; the parking area entrance is on SPEER BOULEVARD. After unloading and exiting the dock, you should turn left out of the ramp area, then go straight across Speer northbound and immediately turn left on SPEER heading south. Turn left again at the next light, and another immediate left back onto Speer west/northbound. Look for the neon sign at the parking lot entrance.

Park in any non-reserved spot, remember your vehicle stall NUMBER and proceed to any pay station located on all levels within the parking garage. Machines accept bills or credit cards. Rate is $7 for up to 8 hours. Proceed to the nearest inside elevator, and travel to Hall D, which is one level above street level. The CCC is large; this will take a few minutes.

Paid parking is also available at the many Central Parking Systems lots in the downtown area. At this writing there is a lot at 1405 Curtis Street. After exiting the dock, you should turn left out of the ramp area, then turn right on SPEER. Turn right on ARAPAHOE, right again on 14TH STREET. Get into the left lane and turn left on CURTIS STREET; the lot is on your left.

When you can find them, rates at on-street parking meters in Downtown Denver are $1.00 per hour, Monday through Satuday, 8 am to 10 pm. There is no parking on Downtown streets between 2 a.m. and 6 a.m.

Word from Elite...

"Union Install Regulations are: From your vehicle, YOU may personally hand carry only your supplies. Exceptions are luggage with wheels, or small airline foldable luggage carriers, and/or plastic display fiber cases with wheels attached to the case. No 2-Wheel or 4-Wheel Etc. may be used in this building for any purpose."
